Our Mission

Develop transformative leaders across Africa committed to democratic governance, economic development, human rights, and regional peace.

How It Works

Our four programme tracks serve diverse learners across 22 African nations, offering everything from 6-month intensive residencies to self-paced online learning.

Four Pathways to Leadership

01

ADAFP Fellows Programme

6 Months · Residential

Intensive policy analysis, democratic governance, and continental affairs. Open to mid-level professionals and emerging leaders.

02

Women's Leadership Track

3 Months · Hybrid

Tailored training for women leaders, activists, and changemakers. 50% guaranteed female participation across all Academy programmes.

03

Youth Democracy Bootcamp

2 Weeks · Intensive

Fast-track programme for leaders aged 18–35. Hands-on civic engagement, campaign strategy, and peer leadership.

Online Short Courses

Self-Paced · Flexible

Micro-credentials in democratic governance, economic policy, communications, and regional affairs. Fully multilingual platform.

Implementation Timeline

Jun 2026

Academy Founded & Staffed

Official launch by ADAFP President. Legal registration in Liberia. Core team assembled. MoU with University of Monrovia signed.

Jul–Q3 2026

Academy Operational—Phase 1

Legal registration in Liberia. Office establishment in Monrovia. Appointment of core staff. Launch of online short courses.

Q4 2026–Q2 2027

First Cohort Selected—Phase 2

Curriculum development for all four tracks. First Fellows cohort announced. Women's Leadership and Youth admissions open. Academic Council constituted.

Q3 2027–Q4 2028

Full Programme Delivery—Phase 3

First residential Fellows cohort in Monrovia. Inaugural Youth Bootcamp. Women's Leadership first cohort. Continental alumni network launched.

2029–2030

Full Capacity & Scale—Phase 4

Scale cohort sizes. Expand to second intake per year for bootcamp. Establish permanent campus infrastructure. Begin transition to endowment-funded sustainability.
